Basic Life Support - Online + Classroom April 4, 9:30am

The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult child and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year American Red Cross Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime anywhere access to the certificate and training history. The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education. ONLINE COURSE PORTION

This course requires the completion of an online component PRIOR to the start of the classroom skills session.  Learners who choose this course must have a high-speed Internet connection to complete the online component (approximately 2-4 hours).  Instructions to access the online portion will be emailed with the registration confirmation email.

SKILLS SESSION

For the classroom portion of the class, the following Red Cross guidelines will be strictly enforced:

• ​Instructor and all participants must wear gloves, and use a breathing barrier (gloves and breathing barrier will be provided.
• Participants showing signs of illness will be asked to reschedule
• Please let us know ahead of time if you require your own training equipment
• All training equipment is cleaned and sanitized before class and after the class
• Hand sanitizer will be provided to use throughout the class.

Please note that due to the amount of preparation required for this course, no refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of class.
